While completing my graduation in Visual Arts my personal interest went towards designing and its element. I started making miniature contemporary furnitures while giving it an ancient base. I believe that no matter how modern one becomes, the past will always remain within the person. This is what I want to portray in my future projects. Playing with the antique beauty and showing its value is what is needed presently. I showed the delicacy of the modern furniture through the material Acrylic as I could get vibrant colours in that with a translucent effect. I started it by constructing miniature corners from the ancient wood showing it as a strong base and placing it with my miniature acrylic furnitures which were of poppy colours. This gave the feeling of an ancient Indian room with the modern furnitures popping out.The other work which I experimented with for the same was a wall shelf made of wooden doors and acrylic sheets which gave a look of a house map with different furniture layouts on it.The delicacy always looks elegant but for that it needs a strong support. Similarly, however delicate a furniture might look, it always needs a strong base for its strength.
