The landscapes of Dali, compositions of Magritte, and self-portraits of Frida have always fascinated me. I believe that it has greatly influenced my style.
In terms of process, I usually start with painting everyday objects or human figures and then creating a surrealist environment around them. It's like putting real and unreal in the same space and forcing them into having a conversation. A dynamic space where every day, as well as otherworldly creatures and objects, interact. I have a keen interest in borrowing a few elements from one work and placing them onto another work. It creates a continuous narrative throughout the whole body of works. There are many elements that reappear across paintings, connecting each work to another but there's no sequence, and thus makes the narration subjective to the viewers.

In most of my works, there is self-portrayal. I believe these paintings are a fragment of my subconscious desires or a belief in an alternate reality. Nevertheless, the identity of the human figure is fairly hidden for I want the viewers to see themselves in her place. I want the viewers to engage with the paintings and build their own narrative.
